I am no expert... I always call them a common chicken snake.... Fun to catch... Will bite you if you aggravate them. Doesn't hurt though.

Plain old rat snake.***

As others have said, it's a rat snake. Completely harmless.***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Using their hipster language and driving their souped up cars. Their use of saxophones in their music....just trouble waiting to happen.

You sure?

I know kingsnakes feed on venomous snakes.

I've never heard that about rat snakes.

I stand corrected you are right they mostly just eat rats. But have been known to kill other snakes.

Common Rat Snake. Non poisonous, and they do catch a lot of rats.

Looks like a Leaktite barrel produced in Leominster Massachusetts.

Can't quite narrow down the year, but looks like it could be a 2017 or 2018 model.

Possibly earlier.

Hard to say.

I wonder why it's upside down with a dead rat snake on it.
