For all we know Dabo could be here for 20+ years or could be gone in 4 years, and who know's what the big name hires would be.

It's almost impossible to speculate about our next coach as it depends largely on how long we have Dabo, which could be 2 years, 5 years, 8 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, etc.. A different batch of candidates would have to be considered for each.

the offensive and defensive philosophies at Alabama are a lot different than they are at Clemson. Are the fans willing to go through a couple of down years while the team moves from the spread to a ball-control offense?

Dabo is young, so to assume that Kirby Smart, The Chad, or Venables will be available to take over assumes that Dabo takes a nosedive and crashes & burns within the next couple season. Bama is the only way he gets hired away, and Saban isn't retiring soon. Saban will probably set up Kirby to be the Coach in Waiting to keep him from leaving. You may get The Chad back to town after he tests his wings elsewhere, so long as it's not at a major Texas school.
