AMARI ROGERS QUESTION
Sep 30, 2018, 6:15 PM
|
|
Just my thoughts, but wouldn't thus kid have a better shot at the NFL as a DB?? I know he's just a So. , but he just didn't look like an NFL WR. He's 5-10 , 215 , and he could probably help us out at DB pretty quickly with a lot of upside to bring the hammer as a run stopper too!! Is this farfetched??

Well, that's what he's listed at. He doesn't seen to have the hands or the length for the next level, but I could see him bring a hellava CB.

BV likes tall and lanky db's for the most part.

Most of our DB’s are over six ft , and he obviously needs , work or to stop fielding punts. . But he is a speed guy and I’m not sure they would be willing to do that. But he definitely could play the position. GO TIGERS!!!!!!

I'm just not sure he's not another KB story though. By the time he's a senior, we'll have better options on the team because the recruiting is so good. Heck, I think DK is better right now.

Amari had a bad day yesterday, there is no question. However, he is a receiver. At the same point in his career as artavis and ray ray he is ahead of both of them at the position. He runs after the catch extremely well, is very physical, he’s explosive, and has good (albeit not great) ball skills. He is a better blocker at the position than both of them at any point in their careers. We have a depth issue at DB but Amari is not the answer to that issue. Bring up chase or Cornell Powell those options make much more sense than Amari.

Thanks for some sanity today. This OP must be trolling hard or hasn’t seen much football.

I agree with you. He had a bad day. I just looked it up and he is our second leading WR. He is one of our best weapons on offense. The best group of specialists we can run out is Amari, Tee, Justyn, Hunter, and Etienne. I promise you if those five are on the field you can score from any and everywhere on the field. I wish those 5 would play more together.

Amari Rodgers is one of the best receivers we have on this team. Hence the reason he is starting as a sophomore. Great preparation and just a pros pro mentality. Yeah he had a bad game saturday but so did Cade Stewart and Sean Pollard in the first half.
He's definitely not playing any other position. I might be wrong but I believe he will cement himself as a star of this team by the end of the year. He is a supped up version of Artavis Scott. Bigger and faster

AR has been huge in games 1-4. He had a down game yesterday. It happens. Kid plays with a maturity he shouldn’t have yet.
