ACC should add Villanova

16 team basketball super conference.

Hell, would basically be an NBA D-League just going through conference play.

They are on the Atlantic Coast, in PA...geographically makes sense given our recent NE additions.

Normally I would be against such a move but man...that would make for some unbelievable college basketball.

And drop Notre Dame( unless of course, they agree to come in as a full time "football" member which has about as much chance of succeeding as getting Villanova).

They don't play big boy football. They are in the FCS in same conference as College of Charleston.

Instead of Villanova the ACC should look at Temple. That school has a solid basketball heritage and vastly improved football. Navy would another Ga. Tech type offense which nobody wants.

Ideally get Notre Dame and West Virginia when television is finally in place.

I’m hoping for conference contraction instead of expansion in about 10 years. The cable tv footprint of a conference will matter much less as most people will have cut the cord by then. What will matter will be compelling match-ups which people want to watch and will entice people to pay for the game or for the conference package of games.

Suddenly, Clemson playing Georgia makes a lot more money for everyone instead of Clemson playing Syracuse and Georgia playing Mizzou. Sanity wins in the end!
