ACC covid tests policy (I think I heard this right)

ALL other conferences let each school to use their own testing services to test their players and have results on Friday, the day before the game.
ACC for some reason requires 3rd party test and test results are on Saturday.
Why does the ACC require 3rd party tests? And why so late?
Other conferences trust the tests supplied by each school.

They just updated the policy to Thursday travel with results back before Friday travel. This is the direct result of the FSU fiasco.

The idea was to do the test as close to game as possible.

But obviously there were drawbacks to that strategy.
