Pittsburg 2 - Ga Tech 1 Ga Tech eliminated

Fla St 3 - UVA 2 UVA eliminated

Miami 6 - ND 2 ND eliminated

No team has been eliminated. Ga Tech plays Friday, Va plays Thursday. ND plays us today. Format is not a one and done.

Eliminated might have been the wrong word to use in that analysis. Those teams cannot advance to the next round based on seedlings & who they lost to I think is probably more accurate. But I could be wrong, it has happened before.

Eliminated was the correct word. Just because they get to play another game doesn't mean they are not eliminated from contention.

2 of the 3 games tomorrow are meaningless

Duke-Wake and NCSU-UVA. Our game w/Miami is only one with meaning tomorrow.

1 game Friday is meaningless (GT-UNC). GT is wasting 3 days of hotel/food expenses (Tue/Wed/Thu)to stay here to play an exhibition Friday afternoon - they could have left yesterday after they lost Game 1.

It's what the Clemson, FSU, and Ga Tech coaches wanted at the time they changed from double elimination to save pitching for the NCAA tournament.

Those were the only nationally relevant baseball programs at the time.
