A realistic take on the game...

If we held our own in this game, and it was back and forth with the offense and defense winning more battles, I would not feel as bad about the loss. However, that is not what happened. What happened was the SC defense manhandled our offense and their offense methodically controlled the ball against our defense. Unfortunately, this game was much more one sided than the score indicated. When you have a team control the ball for that many minutes you are generally getting it handed to you. We have to get more physical plain and simple. This starts with Batson!

beat the refs. BS calls that wore them down and sustained 'drives'.

While they were terrible calls. We got an int on that drive. Then proceeded to turn the ball over ourselves. Cannot blame the PI's unless they scored. We got one earlier in the game as well.

Only one of those was a BS call. You also got a BS pass interference in your favor on the interception that got called back. USC must have also had about 80 yards of holding called, and your defense repeatedly gave up conversions after those penalties. Blaming those calls is a pretty lame excuse.

No,it starts with Dabo, who needs to hold each and every coach accountable. As was often quoted last season;Fix the problem(s) or you will be looking at 5 in a row.

and the problem is S&C. Dabo is always going to have to rely on the right hires, because he is not an X's and O's guy. I did not like his hire for this reason and given the step we were trying to take as a program. He has done some things, but there have been some embarrassing things happen under his watch. One god awful season, 4 straight losses to SC, and the most humilating bowl game in NCAA history. But 10-2 is 10-2. Gotta address the glaring issue over the past few years.

Our offense was extremely vanilla tonight. I know they kept our O off the field, but we really didn't make any big plays after the 1st qtr other than Jaron Brown's catch. Very disappointing.

Because our O line was completely dominated. Isn't that obvious? We were physically whipped in the trenches, and in every phase of the game.

Thank god someone else is saying what has been obvious to me for years. And still, I don't think Dabo has a clue.

WE got outcoached. I think the QB change had as much to do with seeing how NC State passed at will as it did for Shaw's hurt foot.

Dabo knows the S&C Coach is horrible, he wanted to move to someone else last year. Batson is in with IPTAY and the Board. He will NEVER be fired from CLEMSON. I will bet anything on it.

That "drive" resulted in our only turnover of the game.

Not sure if my opinion matters because I'm with the other team, but those who are pointing to the strength and conditioning of your team are dead on.
I had no idea how the gane would play out, but I thought our guys were "tougher" than your guys. I could tell right after half that Clemson just were not strong enough. It was clear that we would win because of it.
Take it or leave it, but it's true. Pound for pound Clemson is weak and not training t be strong AND agile for football.
