Was teaching at West Oak High up in Clemson area that day.. today, I'll be on a plane from California to sweet home Charleston.
Always greatful for the sacrifices made by those brave first responders.
Hopefully we never know anything like that again.

It may be more unsettling than ever. The world has changed since that day.
It is odd to be in a place that is a memorial and also a tourist attraction. Next to you is a family from Raleigh taking pictures and all smiles, a couple from Hong Kong is laughing and taking pics, and then 50 feet down is a fireman by himself rubbing his fingers across the name of a friend.

is so different...all smiles & talk, or nearby workers going to lunch and not even checking out the Hole since indifferent or simply adjusted to it..or certain people in the know who are saddened or reflecting on what really went DOWN!
To each his/her own..and why our Country is so unique, in that you can't be told how to act or think. FREEDOM!
