Sad.

Most times collapses like this happen on a deck or porch. This apprears to be a failure of a span between 2 walls. Either it was under engineered or the hangers/fasteners holding the spanning member gave way.

Looking at how it sheared it sure looks like poor construction and way too many humans jumping in a smaller area.

Yeah, waiting for it to come out that it was over capacity and some idgit will ask where was the fire marshal.... but idk if it’s private or not.

Just glad that no one seems to have life threatening injuries.

Didn't that happen in the late 90's at Daniel Square or am I mixing it up with the huge riot that made national news ??

I miss Daniel Square.... wonder if those apartments are still standing. Good times and great memories. Go Tigers !!!

I’m sure it was over capacity. Doubt the floor was designed for that many people jumping. That dynamic load is huge.
