It seems we have a very strong chance at landing KJ Henry, Justyn Ross, and Tyreke Johnson.
The two beast O lineman Carman and Jamaree seem to be up in the air. Iv heard Carman is split 3 ways with OSU, Southern Cal, and Us. Jamaree seems to be a GA lean, but hopefully we can turn the tides.
The other guys I think it is safe to say we don't have a great chance. Cade Mays on the other hand I think we have a good shot. It helps A TON that Mike Jones and him are boys and go way back. I have a feeling Cade Mays will fall in love this weekend. Lets hope he officially decommits after this weekend.

I believe Gouraige just committed to Fla

I would probably say confidence order:
1.) Justyn Ross- I think this one is close to being wrapped up behind the scenes 2.) Tyreke Johnson- A lot of smoke that Clemson is the one to beat w other teams taking/offering other players at his position 3.) KJ Henry- I know he enjoyed his visit to Va Tech, but unless someone else offers his dad a job I don't see him going anywhere else than Clemson 4.) Cade Mays- A lot of uncertainty in Rocky Top and the family feel @ Clemson with Mike Jones will help sway 5.) Jackson Carman- Not very certain. I think his emotions change daily on his top school which isn't good considering Urban is right down the road 6.) Jamaree Salyer- Need to get back on campus with mama 7.) Trey Hill- Same as Salyer, needs to get back on campus 8.) Patrick Surtain Jr.- I think LSU's to lose but I think there's an ever-so-little light at the end of the tunnel 9.) Richard Gouraige- Hard Commit to Fla. Don't see him flipping
Overall I see 3 tiers of confidence here:
Tier 1: Ross, Johnson, Henry Tier 2: Mays, Carman Tier 3: Salyer, Hill, Surtain Jr. Tier 4: Gouraige

Tier 1 and Tier 2 would be tremendous

That would take our Rivals class rank from #31 to #3 (currently). More importantly it builds star power into the NC contenders that TL will lead.

if Mays enjoys his visit and decommits this weekend then I like that we get an official visit later on.

Let me start out by saying that I think silent commits are silly. It's really not something we have a lot of. Only time it might be true would be closer to NSD, but at this point in the process I doubt we have any 'silents'.
Justyn Ross - we are WRU; military mom Tyreke Johnson - Dexter's cousin; position of need -------- KJ Henry - he has to see us with 2 great players at his position; think he might go elsewhere Cade Mays - if Tenn keeps Butch, he could look elsewhere -------- -------- Jackson Carman - most likely Ohio State, but why isn't it official yet? Trey Hill - close family relationship with Kirby Smart, but interior OL at UGA is full -------- -------- -------- Jamaree Salyer - he's all UGA Richard Gouraige - committed to UF. only mentioned Clemson to create drama Patrick Surtain - all LSU, if anyone steals him, it won't be us

Our lack of quality DE depth should appeal to Henry. We're going to lose both Cle and AB to the NFL, so he and XT would have an opportunity to come in and be huge contributors right away.

This is where I disagree.

Fall reports on Justin Foster were that he was way ahead of where everyone expected for the first time playing the position. Logan Rudolph would've played this year had he not had the injury. Xavier Kelly is still working his way back from a nasty injury last year, and was a very highly touted recruit. Also we'll get Richard Yeargin back next season who has been a valuable contributor. A lack of depth this year, does not equate to a lack of depth next year.

True, but that being said when we have talented depth we

rotate them well on the D-Line.
We had good depth at DT last year but Lawrence still played heavy minutes.

I'd be surprised if KJ is afraid of competition

I hope that wouldn't be the reason he goes elsewhere. Also good defensive ends will play no matter how many you have. Carman would be a surprise, but isn't that what Dabo and his staff are known for? Thanks for your response. (or is it against the rules to be polite on t-net)

You’re wrong on a couple points here. 1) Cade Mays is said to love Butch Jones, and doesn’t want him to leave. 2) As for KJ we’re losing both DE most likely and we’re lacking depth here. He loves clemson I would be extremely surprised if he ended up any where but Clemson. 3) As for Trey Hill, he will end up at Georgia regardless, if they are “full” or not.
As for the rest I agree

but I think Surtain is going to end up at FSU, not LSU where everyone is projecting him. I could be wrong but something is leading me that way.

Need to add Jordan McFadden,Bookie Radley-Hines, and Lyn-J Dixon to your list. From what I have read there is a very good chance we land all three of those guys.
The question is how big will this class grow to? Remember when we were only going to take 11 guys? ?? It's looking like 18-20 now.
