18 years in the future to plan out of conference games ?

This almost seems like an IRRISPONSIBLE thing to do ....

I mean our ACC schedule NEXT year isn't even set yet.

why so far in future? I'm sure someone will say it takes time to plan etc.

But that is almost a Generation away. The players aren't even born yet.

seems ridiculous to me.

Exactly, we could do it way sooner, Wyoming, Sc State are the same year too. That’s so gross. Let’s get UF on the Schedule pronto.

playing the dirtpeckers does nothing for us. I only see downsides to playing them. Hurts our SOS, does nothing for our recruiting, and having to mingle with their inbred, trash fans is tiresome.

We recruit against FL and GA for most of our players. Makes perfect sense we play those teams instead of the coots.

Although it would never happen, it would be cool if we could work out a rotation where maybe we did Home and Away with South Carolina, then H&A with Georgia, then H&A with South Carolina again, then H&A With Florida, then H&A with South Carolina again... in that pattern every 10 years. The in state "rivalry" would be played 10 out of every 20 years, but we would also get to play Florida and Georgia 4-6 times every 20 years also.

There was a time when The SC game was required by the SC State Legislature. I suspect that pressure may still exist. For those too young to remember the State Fair game every year at Williams-Brice, you should be excited to know the Gamecocks must play at DV every two years. They never did while I was
@Clemson.
My recollection is that the initial game with the SC Gamecocks @Clemson was the fall of 1960. And Clemson won that one folks.
Major college football scheduling is a nightmare and requires long-range perception[we hope].

I really like the thinking here. Would love to play GA or FL every year. Our non conference schedule is really weak over the next 5 years and this will impact recruiting, yada, yada.
