We literally would be a favorite to win the national title next year if he was coming to Clemson. The kid is that good. I saw a stat on ESPN the other day that said he would be the second heaviest player in the NBA right now as an 18 year old that can jump out the gym.
I don't think we ever had a realistic chance at landing him though.....

That wasn't a mess up by our program. He was one and done, so it's not the end of the world anyway. That said, he went to Duke. It's not as if we beat Duke out for recruits. We made a run at him and Duke beat us out. So shocked. I love the job we are doing with recruiting though.

Exactly.
I have seen him hit jumpers on video, but not consistently. And the level of defensive prowess he competed against is downright embarrassing. Everyone tries to keep him away from the bucket. No one in high school succeeded.
I think he is very raw, and will still be raw when he becomes a lottery pick.

The kid chose the one blue blood program that didn't bother recruiting him. No way you can blame the in-state school that did. And the person who says we 'blew a big lead' was just as surprised by the choice as Coach K was. Therefore, he didn't know. No sweat.
