is irrelevant.....their musicianship is off the charts...i'm a lukewarm fan but saw them in DC in '98 and they are sick talented...next to Santana and his band, i haven't been to a concert that rivaled that talent on stage from a musical standpoint.

and always will be....Santana himself and his band are in the outer world, talent wise as far as i'm concerned. I'm no DMB fan, like i said, lukewarm at best. I just know that i've been to a ton of concerts and what i saw in DC was a hell of a lot of musical talent, particularly from the drummer and the band as a unit. Rush is off the charts too, though i'm not a big fan of them either. Those guys can play man....another one who i'm not crazy about all the time but i saw live is Prince, who's a musical genius to me. I went to HS with his drummer, John Blackwell, and John has told me that the guy is so talented that it's scary.

the original was done by Bob Dylan. After Jimi Hendrix remade it, there was never a need for another cover of that song.

All Dave Matthews was and ever will be is a college bar band. For some odd reason crappy college bar bands made it big in the mid to late 90's. Their songs of zero substance, and just reminds you of 90's dbag high school and college kids who thought they were cool.

Maybe 20-30 years from now it will be different but I can't think of any songs in the past 20 years that are able to evoke emotion like those back then. Even songs that I like. What is all boils down to is, no band is quite so timeless as The Black Crowes. Take Sometimes Salvation, if you did know when it was recorded, it would be hard to date.

You are a joke of a "fan" to say that about Dave Matthews Band. They put their soul into their instruments and the music they are playing. They work hard and play even harder and louder. They don't need some ignorant person on here SLAMMING them for being perfect. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying such a thing about the band.
That Band is the Best, Always has been the best, Always WILL be the BEST. Do all of the USA a favor and apologize to Dave Matthews Band. It is the absolute LEAST you could do for them. They sacrifice hours and hours in the hot August sun and hours in the dead of the December moon. SO that fans, even the ignorant ones like you, can get some sort of entertainment in their ears.
Think next time before you post something ATTACKING Dave Matthews band, Mr, clemsonsportjunkie.
Dave Matthews Band #1 FAN!!!

I suppose they are crappy musicians as well...Dave Matthews Band has it's ups and downs, and sometimes gets a little too into "Dave bra, Dave" but he can play circles around almost every musician out there.

Agree 100%. If there was ever a band wagon to jump on, its Dave matthews. How many ###### bags that play acoustic guitar have to pull out some dave song at some point in their amateur career...
