If you could only eat the same meal for the rest

Nov 4, 2019, 2:16 PM

of your life...what would it be?

I'd have to go with a nice medium rare steak, baked potato, some steamed veggies, and a salad.

PB&J, Pringles, choc pudding cup, bottle of Gatorade.

No, I am not nine years old. But it's like $10 a week for lunch.

A variation of yours would be: Venison cubed steak and gravy, with rice (of course), fresh collards, lima beans, corn bread, seven layer salad, key lime pie. Unsweetened tea cause I'm watching the sugar.

I could survive.

Fried potatoes with a brown crust around the edge...

Nov 4, 2019, 4:03 PM

pinto beans with bacon for seasoning, sliced homegrown tomatoes and a chunk of vadalia onion with cornbread made with whole grain (yellow) cornmeal with crisco shortening cut in coarse, a teaspoon of sugar, two jumbo eggs and a mixture of whole buttermilk and filtered water and cooked in a heavy, preheated cast iron skillet with two tablespoons of bacon drippings at 425 degrees on the top rack in a preheated oven. Gas would be good but I can work with electricity if that's what I got.

I have no doubt that I could eat that meal every day of my life.

Yes, I can cook this meal as well as either grandmother, mother, MNL, or either ex wife.
