When did this happen?
Aug 2, 2020, 8:40 PM
|

First, it was "Make America Great Again". Now, for 2020 the slogan is "Keep America Great!
Somehow, when we became "Great Again" must have flown right past me. 32% drop in GDP, 40 million unemployed, riots in the streets, protests all over the country, 150,000 Americans dead...etc.
I think it only fair had someone mentioned that Trump's idea of "Great Again" meant taking us back to 1929. I sure hope he doesn't have a plan to take make us even greater and take us back to 9/11. That would suck, too.

Your GDP numbers were already called out.
Also, trump has an unemployment rate that is close to the numbers Obama/Biden had for several years, without an unprecedented shutdown.

You're just wrong...again. GDP Drop of 32.9%, per Fox Business.
There never was a time that unemployment was at 11% under Obummer. It was bad though, in 2009 when Oboma/Biden took over a crushed economy turned over to them by the GOP. Remember? As a matter of fact, the last 2 times that GOP/Conservatives were in charge, America has been brought to it's knees and the working class has gotten killed. Not by foreigners, but by sh**ty policy desicions.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/second-quarter-gdp-plunges-32-9-worst-decline-on-recordSecond-quarter GDP plunges 32.9%, worst decline on record The U.S. economy shrank at a dizzying 33% annual rate in the April-June quarter — by far the worst quarterly plunge ever — when the viral outbreak shut down businesses, throwing tens of millions out of work and sending unemployment surging to 14.7%, the government said Thursday.

32.9% isn’t real. It’s and annualized rate.

That’s like me saying Dems want $31,600 worth of unemployment benefits added to the new stimulus bill for every worker when they file for UE.

You are correct, but the 'drop' was 32.9%.
If you disagree, take it up with Fox Business.

The drop was not 32.9%.
The drop was 9.5%.
-32.9% is an annualized rate for all of 2020. It's a projected trend based on Q1 and Q2. It hasn't happened, and not accurate. And I'd bet the farm that 2020 will not end at -32.9%. They are thinking that the actual 2020 GPD will be -6%. Huge difference from -32.9%.
Lets look at this another way.
AMZN was $1,898 on Jan 2. It was $2,758 at the end of Q2.
Based on Q2 earnings, should I report that Amazon's [annualized] stock is worth $3,618? No, because that's a useless projections.

Unemployment was the lowest ever under trump before covid. Assuming Biden’s inheriting some sort of economic failure of trump is beyond ridiculous.

Trump dropped unemployment by 27%.
Also a fun fact, African-American unemployment was at it's lowest rate under Obama the month he left office and was 8.4%.
It hit its' lowest point on record of 5.1% in January 2020, with a slight uptick to 5.6% right before COVID made all numbers go crazy.
How did more African-Americans obtain jobs in Trump's racist America than at any other point in the 50 year history of recording this metric?

Herman Cain was likely not due to Tulsa.
Aug 2, 2020, 10:44 PM
|
|
There was no spike in Tulsa COVID numbers after the convention.
Cain's family also stated he traveled greatly before and after the convention. He could have contracted it in many places.
Also, he tested positive 9 days after the convention. That 9 days is an awfully long time for an elderly, cancer survivor to be pre-symptomatic.

So what should have been done?

Here was Pelosi from San Francisco in late February:
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi toured San Francisco's Chinatown Monday to send a message. She said there's no reason tourists or locals should be staying away from the area because of coronavirus concerns.
"That’s what we’re trying to do today is to say everything is fine here," Pelosi said. "Come because precautions have been taken. The city is on top of the situation."
De Blasio told NYers to go about their life in mid-March. It's not a big deal:
“If you’re not sick, you should be going about your life,” the mayor said.
On January 31, Trump announced travel restrictions on entry to the US from China and was called out as racist and xenophobic.
So in January Trump starts restrictions on travel. Almost a month later the Speaker of the House is out and about in San Francisco telling people there's no concern. Two weeks later the Mayor of NYC is telling people to go about their business.
And this is all Trump's fault? No, everyone is to blame. Don't rely on the government to save you.

and libs will never acknowledge it. If you listen to the press, Trump should have locked things down even before we were aware that this thing existed.
The answer to your question is "the opposite of whatever Trump did or didn't do."
It's pretty despicable. It's the same thing the dems did with the Afghan war and WMDs.

Felix's TDS is getting worse by the post. I recommend instantly seeking treatment.
He always seems to miss the big picture. Probably the the story of his life.
Trump is NOT responsible for the the current economic crisis or the Pandemic. The REAL ISSUE, which of course he's missing, is who would be the best leader to rebuild the country and the economy.
The obvious answer is TRUMP! He did it once, producing the beast economy in the history of America, and he will do it again. To even imagine that the Biden socialist platform could do what needs to be done is beyond insane, foolhardy and fraught with faux logic. The democrat party is seriously playing you libbies for fools.
Does anybody with half a brain think higher taxes, more regulations, lower GDPs, bigger government, more illegals, more sanctuary cities, less police presence, more freebies and government controlled health care will bring prosperity? Can you just imagine socialists like AOC, Omar, Talib and the Bernie Bros running the country (influencing policies) as Joementia sits in a rocking chair in the Oval Office wondering where the h&ll he is? Just think about that for a few minutes.
Hey folks, don't be stupid...hate Trump all you want BUT get over your hissy fits and do what's best for YOUR future and your country. Some day your friends and children will thank you.

Why are you blaming Trump for economic numbers that have been caused by mass shut downs in part due to the left's hysteria. Trump wants to open back the economy. Dems don't. Simple as that.
Where I work, we have 500 open low level positions that can't be filled because people are making way more money sitting at home and collecting the 600 bucks a week + unemployment. Pelosi said the other day that this isn't happening because of some BS study from Yale. She wants to keep the 600 bucks a week benefit until unemployment numbers go down. Dem's want the economy to continue to shutter until the election. It's exremely obvious.
Why do you blame everything on Trump? Oh yeah because you are a simpleton that can't think critically.
