Hometown Thread: What wackiness is going on
Sep 12, 2019, 12:01 PM

in your hometown lately?
This morning a 2 year old was found wandering the streets half naked. Bruised. Black eye. After searching facebook to find the parents, they took the kid to the police. By that time the grandmother has seen the post and went to get the kid from the police who gave him back to her who then took the kid back to the cracked out mother.
No DSS calls. No investigation. Just "here"
Ah small towns.

Well our school superintendent threatened to stab a district employee in the throat, strangle him, and then stab him in the throat again. Just another day in the life.

Whale, after our sherriff got arrested a few years ago
Sep 12, 2019, 12:48 PM
|
|
taking bribes from the owner of a Messikan restaurant chain to avoid having his employees deported.....
And after the same Messikan restaurant owner shot a guy porking his wife in the back of a parked car somewhere....
And after the guy 5 houses down was arrested for running a bunch of illegal video poker machines around town....
And after.....
Well, all seems pretty norml here lately. Like past two years nothing much happening. Guess we had to give it a rest to let a bunch more scandals happen.

"An inmate at Lee Correctional Institution will spend an extra 46 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to extorting and defrauding Department of Defense service members by posing as a females on a dating app and then as threatening fathers. Posing as the females, Dunbar sent photos of naked females to the service members and requested nude photos in return. He then posed as the females' father, claiming the service member was in possession of child pornography and threatening to have the service member arrested if he didn't pay money. The service member would then transfer funds electronically to Dunbar's associates."

Some dude did donuts on Trump's golf course.
Sep 12, 2019, 2:16 PM
|
|
In the early evening hours of Sept. 3, an employee at President Trump’s golf course in Bedminster, N.J., heard music blasting across a fairway. He turned and saw a Ford Focus whipping in circles on the 11th hole.
Five days later, the Ford was back on the manicured grass, this time turning doughnuts on the 13th hole.
On Tuesday, the police arrested Richard J. McEwan, 26, of Milford, N.J., and charged him with criminal mischief in connection with the two episodes at Trump National Golf Course, Mr. Trump’s luxury course about 40 miles west of Manhattan.
The car had churned up the turf, resulting in about $20,000 worth of damage, the Somerset County prosecutor’s office said.
But whipping around the Somerset County links was not the only spree for which Mr. McEwan was charged in the past few weeks.
On Aug. 30, the police in Westerly, R.I., said, he broke into a mansion belonging to the musician Taylor Swift in the village of Watch Hill. Mr. McEwan was arrested after a neighbor noticed him hopping the fence, breaking a glass door and sneaking in, according to Chief Shawn Lacey of the Westerly Police Department.
Police officers found Mr. McEwan in a foyer inside Ms. Swift’s house, Chief Lacey said. He had taken off his shoes and left them outside the mansion.
“There was a set of shoes on the floor, and he was found without shoes on, just a pair of socks on,” Chief Lacey said Tuesday in an interview. “Obviously we asked, ‘Why are your shoes off?’ And he indicated, ‘I was raised to take my shoes off when you go into somebody’s house,’” Chief Lacey said.
“He said it was the polite thing to do. Meanwhile, there is glass all over the floor from a broken door.”

Apparently quit paying his bills. No power for last month. Keeps all the windows an doors wide open. At least he quit burning trash and copper wire. Don't know why he won't call county to pickup pile of trash at the road. Figure other neighbors will burn him out soon anyway.

A vulgar note with threats of violence was passed to a

student in a downtown classroom. The note was confiscated by a teacher. The school is conducting a threat assessment of the juvenile. CPD advised that, at this time, "it is unknown if the letter consisted of song lyrics."
An entire beer was embezzled from a business. The offender was issued a court date over the theft of the $2.50 beverage. The manager of the same business contacted CPD again, in the same night, to inform them that a different employee of hers was embezzling from the store. This time, it was $5.60.
While cleaning the apartment, a man began to threaten his roommate with physical violence. The victim alerted the police. Upon arrival, the offender hid in the closet. CPD opened a dialogue with him, to which he "went off on a random tangent." The offender fled the scene after exiting the closet.
Downtown, a man was found dead in his bedroom with foam around his mouth. He had been out with his roommate the night before. His friend advised CPD that he had observed him walking into a bathroom at a bar with an unknown party.

Seems all was fine until the guys found out they were eskimo brothers. I guess he thought his side piece was "monogamous."
Havent heard much lately (this blew up in June) but at the time there was a city councilman ensnared in it as he was trying to keep a lid on it.
