Any Clemson Basketball gurus in here?

Jun 14, 2022, 12:38 PM

was looking at our tradition and it seems we have 5 1st round draft picks in our history.

Dale Davis 91'
Elden Campbell 90'
Horace Grant 87'
Larry Nance 81'
Tree Rollins 77'

not bad. and you can add Trevor Booker to that in '12.
am I overlooking anyone or is that it?

on a sidenote I thought it was interesting that Furman actually had the top pick in the 1954 Draft his name was Frank Selvy.

Something neither Clemson or uscjr has ever accomplished. Pistol Pete should've been a TIGER! and that would've been another one. It looks like uscjr had about 3 or 4 1st rounders since in the 50's and 60's but cold from then out.

Really surprised Will Solomon wasn't a 1st Rounder. Anyone know where he went?

Skip Wise?

Jun 16, 2014, 2:32 PM

He signed with the Baltimore Claws of the old ABA. I assume they had a draft to acquire him.

Since Skip elected to leave school after his Freshman year

I don't think he was eligible for the draft.

Instead, he signed a five-year, $700,000 no-cut contract with the Claws.
