Has Kirby Smart talked about his fake punt blunder yet?

Dec 2, 2018, 9:14 AM

Has he owned that?

Well he said his players wanted to win the game...

And that it wasn’t fair for them to not play with that mentality.

So technically, it’s the players fault for wanting to win so bad...

yeah he said they snapped it too late

Following the game, Bulldogs' head coach Kirby Smart discussed the controversial decision.

“Yeah, we had been carrying that for -- actually carried it last year," Smart said. "Thought it was there, and it was there today. We were going to snap the ball quick. We took too long to snap the ball. They didn't have a guy covered. We had a guy wide open. We took so long to snap it, that they recognized it and got the guy covered late. It was probably 20, 30 yards' field position that -- we came to win the game. We wanted to win the game.

"I talked to the guys before the game about it. If we get an opportunity to run it, we'll run it. It was there. We just didn't get an opportunity to get it snapped before they covered the guy."

That's BS to say they saw it because it took to long

to snap the ball. Bama recognized it right away because they had their regular defense on the field, not the punt team. Excuse for a crappy play call.

you’re being way too kind with blunder...

Dec 2, 2018, 9:26 AM

this is why his mouth is yapping about his team - to distract from possibly the most asinine call by a coach trying for the cfp...

ever

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

I agree. That was the worst call of all time in an important moment in college football history.
