He could take some hits. Or our punter, he had a nice throw today

Johnson should start. He is just a much more accurate passer.

Cooper flat out missed a wide open Cain for a TD.

We'll see who wins in practice. HJ had a better day today but it was only a few snaps for each. My vote is HJ.
Could still be KB anyway.

I still think Cooper would start, just because of the

experience (not seniority) factor. Having said that, he would be on a fairly short leash, and coaches would not hesitate to put Johnson in if Cooper struggled.

Or, you could just as easily be wrong. I'll go with the coaches on this one, whatever it is.

I would think so. It depends on how ready HJ is to run the

show. To be the starting QB on the road, I'd think the coaches would go with experience if everything else is close. Today, in the snippet we saw, it didn't look that close, but we can't go by that. It has apparently been very close, with the edge to Cooper, up until now. I don't think they'd hesitate to play HJ if Cooper struggled.

I wouldn't be so certain of that ...

It looked to me as though the coaches jerked Cooper out after he missed so badly on that potential TD to Cain.
If they had complete confidence in Cooper, I don't think they change QBs at that juncture.
Looked to me like they said, that was one absolutely pitiful attempt by Cooper and let's see if Johnson can do better.

I am a big believer that when you are given a chance, you take it.
Cooper did not and honestly looked wretched and nervy. Hunter Johnson looked the opposite and I don't think he missed a pass.
How you take those chances tends to determine whether or not you get another.

I was surprised and a bit disappointed to see Cooper come back in later after Johnson was looking so good.

The depth chart changes all the time after given a chance to see how the boys actually play instead of only how they practice. That being said, I'd expect Cooper stays the backup (and therefore starter when the #1 is out). THAT BEING SAID, it seems like Johnson had a much better control of the offense when he got in today.

My thoughts are that Hunter Johnson is a gamer and plays best

During actual game. Practice as all well and good, but unless HJ is really bad at practice he should start. Zerrick had some poor throws today, really bad. Cain was underthrown by 5 yards or more as he was behind the coverage. That will happen but as a backup trying to get playing time that miss means a lot. HJ seemed more comfortable and made great throws today, happy to see Cannon get a score today ????. Love the backups getting to make plays!!
Coaches will make the call but I guarantee you that they will make a switch quick if offense is not clicking. Too much at stake at 6-0 push-ups NC for another championship run!! ????

I thought Hunter looked the better of the two.

Zerrick badly under threw a wide open Cain running up the seam for a sure TD.
Hunter hit his TD throw and just generally looked more in command.
