why name starting qb now?

Did Watson ever really have a shot at the starting qb position. I dont think so.

Why name it now though? Why not wait till fall and maybe Watson is able to put on some poumds and learn the offense more and compete the first couple of weeks?

Stoudt is ready to roll for Athens. If he can't hold Watson off as the year progresses, may the best man win.

Stoudt has no scramble ability or deep ball. I think Watson fits the system so much better and can do everything. Whats the rush? Lets see what watsin could do in fall before you say right now in the spring that Stoudt is the best qb for us in the fall. Just give watson a chance is all im saying. I do like Stoudt for the record. But I love watson

We haven't seen Watson play a collegiate snap

What's the rush to get him into the game?

If we don't want to switch, then Stoudt starts all year.
