why does everyone seem to think SC will blow out A&M?

thats all I hear on wccp. But I'm listening to local talk here in SA and they also don't expect A&M to give much. Only my A&M grad co-worker thinks A&M will win.

Based on returning players and current team SCar should have the advantage. The X factor is A&M's over all talent. They are quickly becoming a powerhouse in recruiting and should be replacing players with even better talent. My only reason for believe SCar will win is this is week 1.

I am throwing what I know about both these teams out the window because it is the first game of the new season. I will simply state what my gut feeling is telling me. I keep hearing how this is the best team Spurrier has had since he has been at Suck U.We all know what happens with preseason hype and starting the season ranked #9 right? Aggies take it on a last second field goal 24-21.

Performance against Duke and the fact that #2 left for the NFL after that game.

This is it. Only way I can see A&M winning is if they commit to stopping Davis and the coots pass game isn't on.

that A&M has recruited very well over the last few years, and offensively I think they can play with just about anyone, the defense is a different matter.
A&M was down right pathetic on defense last year and I do not ecxpect to see much, if any, improvement this year.

Home game Returning a ton of talent (except Clowney and Shaw) TAM lost the only hopes they had (JM and Mike Evans) TAM D was one of the worst in the country last year, and won't be any better.
Probably a lot of other reasons. I'm sticking with a 21+ point blowout. This one is over by halftime.

Carolina always wins close in the opener. I'm going to say 21-10.

I just don't see how USC is going to be some powerhouse. They lost their all-time best player. They lost their all-time best QB. Even as good as they've been under Spurrier, USC is still not a program that loses players like Clowney and Shaw and gets better.
And remember all those 3rd and 12s that Shaw bailed them out of the last few years? Those are gone. Gone. Watch their 3rd down conversion rate plummet this season.
A&M is going to have some big Texas boys that know how to play football. I remember thinking we had a lot more athletes than them in 2004 and they whipped us. A&M didn't just watch Manziel leave and then give up. They'll be ready tonight.
