If true, what a waste of an opportunity to display to all those watching a supreme character of not getting down or giving up, but rather supporting teammates and coaches who have been your family through 4 years. Life is not fair, but persevering in the face of this would be such a great example to those young fans out there intently watching. Grass is never as green as you think it is on the other side. Come on Kelly!

Figured this, would have taken him being more invested his first two years behind Watson to hold off Lawrence. Kelly himself has admitted not getting fully serious until his Jr season.

There is a post with a link to the paper. They are reporting no more than what Dabo has already said, as usual they used the famous word speculation. In other words they don't know squat at this time.

We'll certainly need his play and presence at some point again this year so it'd be a big loss. However, I can understand his mindset and actually think he'd benefit by playing for another school (in the right situation). Say he went to Arkansas and played for Morris, he'd be free to sling it around, be aggressive and make plays. I don't think Elliott truly gives him that freedom bc our defense is so good, we tend to manage games more under Bryant.
Bryant isn't a superstar but I do think he'd put up better numbers elsewhere...which in turn may help his future. On the flip side though, you're throwing to lesser WRs, with a lesser OL and if its in the SEC West, against stiffer defenses.
Quitting mid-season to save your last year isn't the best look, but thats the business of college football nowadays and if Bryant does transfer it'll be the first of many.
