Oh great

I have confidence in our coaches and players, but I do not have any confidence in our doctors. Probably a season ender with our butchers.

i have heard some very scary stories about our arthroscopic surgeon from a former nurse who worked with him for several years. mainly instances of incompetence, doing more harm than good, etc. i have also talked to a mma guy who got 3 knee surgeries from this same surgeon and is in far worse shape now than before the operations. "butcher" may be a bit harsh, but there is definitely some truth in that description, and i'm sure i'm not the only one whose heard this.

surgeon was so bad he went back twice more***

Mixed Martial Artists are paid per fight. If you "think" it's over. ;)
Probably had a little knee clean up and now gets to head to the beach or mountains for some summer relaxation.

If not due to any recent injury, could the surgery have....

Jul 22, 2011, 12:56 PM

not been scheduled and completed earlier and not right before the start of the season?

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

could be or could be that they hoped rest and rehab could

Jul 22, 2011, 1:11 PM

have a avoided the surgery. he'll be ready by 8/5 according to the article, i see nothing wrong with it. surgery is usually the last option.

Cartlidge tear. No big deal. They will go in and scrape out the loose stuff.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

this is what I was thinking...or even one of the collateral

Jul 22, 2011, 1:39 PM

ligaments that can be effectively braced. If it was a bigger deal he'd be out longer.
