, the ACC champ will still get to go to another BCS level bowl and not get left out just because the bowl they have a contract with comes up in the play off rotation.

We knew the Orange was in the rotation and we knew that the ACC was in negotiations with them several days ago.
I have no idea who might have thought this was news.

one of the other 4 Big-6 bowls if the Orange is in the playoff that year. I didn't know this before and am still not sure it is accurate. I hope it is true. If so, I think that is a pretty big deal.

Something like this deserves more than a freaking half-azzed tweet.
First, he is a moron for trying to relate polls to the selection of a playoff team. The last I heard the selection committee would provide groups of teams who at the time qualified as seeds. Such as; Bama, UGA, FSU, USCw, bla bla bla qualify for a #1 seed and others that qualify for #2 seeds...As the season progressed teams would move up and down the seeding chart until the conference champ games were over. At that time the seeds would be narrowed down to only four so somebody has their wires crossed here.
Second, if the Orange always took the ACCCs they would be stuck with a team that was not seeded in the playoff which would ruin the entire concept of a playoff.
