Old metal ones from the 60's/70's. Plastic ones with out the safety crap. Ones with the safety crap busted off of them (out of frustration or my inability to figure out how they work), and some plastic ones with a rag shoved in the opening.
They all suck. I hate them.
For my birthday, I'm gonna scrap all of them and buy 4 of the VP racing cans. These things seem like the way to go. Extravagant? probably. But I'm worth it, Damn it!

Dood, I save corks from wine bottles. They seal the vapor which keeps down the stench of petro products and prevents evaporation. I probably have twenty or so extras laying around.

floating around in the gas tank of my four wheeler - when I went to put that stupid plastic piece on the edge of the tank, it blew apart, and the spring and another piece fell in the tank. Tried to fish it out but never could...
Switched to a metal can and a funnel after that - ####### gubmint...
