hey granpaw, what's for supper? Grammy edition.

Jan 26, 2020, 7:42 PM

here Mrs No made a new variation on spaghetti squash for us. Roasted the squash, caramelized some onions, diced some pre-grilled chicken breasts, stirred it all up with some chicken broth, garlic, and a lot of laughing cow reduced fat cheese. Very good. Kale salad on the side, red wine, and a piece of 92% dark ghirardelli chocolate for desert.

Watching the red carpet for Grammy's, waiting for all of my fav musical artists to perform.

Whatayahavin'?

Vacuum sealer is worth the effort.

Put a splash of Dale’s and some Pakistani (that’s where the pink stuff actually comes from) sea salt on ‘em and seal them up. Straight out of the freezer and into the sous vide for a couple hours whenever you want them. Hard to tell the difference from the ones I made fresh from the same pack.

I've started to buy one of them several times and dint.

but need to get one.

Useful but probably not essential if you don’t sous vide.

If you do, they’re pretty perfect. If I’m doing a fresh protein, like chicken I just bought or something, I just put it in a gallon Ziploc and displace the air, don’t really need a vacuum sealed bag.

Found a bottle of my very own raspberry stout from 2012. Very mellow. I must have been a better brewer than I remember. Might have to drag my stuff out and make another batch.
