I read last week that we have the more aggressive form “L”. The article mentions that it is not changing much like SARS so that is good news as SARS died out. The hope is that it will be one and done and not reoccurring every year like the flu. I guess we will know by this time next year.

Early in the article, the strains are different in virulence - then read the last paragraph. Only adds to confusion.

strain. But as the article says, every host changes the virus a little each time he/she makes a copy. This thing came from some other coronavirus that mutated and developed in bats, eventually coming from probably just one bat.
