The progression of TL along with the offense is really the key to us taking it to the house. We've come a long way since early season. Our offense is looking better each week. We'll score lots for dang sure.
TL seems to have figured out this deep ball thing. Part of it is not waiting for the receiver to be 40 yards down field before letting it go, forcing him to simply air it out rather than throw an accurate ball.
In the Bama game yesterday, Tua threw a beautiful deep ball for a TD that he release when the receiver was a mere 7 yards past the line of scrimmage and caught about 30 or 40 yards down field.
The reason TL can throw it more accurately, therefore, is because he’s throwing it sooner, meaning he’s processing the field more quickly. He’s only 8 starts in and has played roughly half a game for most of those starts. It’s scary how good he can become if he keeps working hard at it. He seems the type to do just that.
