I heard some noise this weekend from frans on social media

about Post Malone doing a Nirvana set, and that not only did it not suck, but it was really good. Reluctantly, I pressed "play", and tried awfully hard to not be prejudgy, because Post Malone...I mean, c'mon.
It took like 10 seconds to get hooked. He nails it. And as simple and 3 chord punky as Nirvana sounds, they're not easy to cover, as witnessed by tons of bands and artists who butcher them.
Heartshaped Box at 24:30 is pretty killer. I haven't even listened to the whole thing yet. Dig it:

he chose Rap because he felt it was the easiest path to stardom, not because he genuinely thinks he would be good at it. He could have gone rock, country, or Southern Gospel I guess.

just not my thing. They sound great, but the weight and Gibson neck just didn't suit me. I'm a Fender guy when it comes to guitars. A Fender guy that still to this day has never owned a Fender bass, oddly enough.

You can’t replicate Cobains voice.
Play the song and make it your own, don’t go out of your way to kill the box on the song trying to be something you can’t.
