tailgating question

Anyone know where I can rent a small/quiet generator capable of running a t.v.? How much would that cost? I don't usually set one up, but I really want to catch the FSU game. It's on ABC, so I should be able to get it with just an antenna? I have no idea.

You will need a boosted antenna. It's tough to get ABC

Also, depending on the size of the TV, you may be better off just buying a power inverter to hook to the car battery and leaving the car on, or cranking it periodically.
If memory serves me right, you might end up paying about the same, and you get an extra piece of equipment in the process.

$40.00 to $50.00 per day.
Since you would need to pick it up on Friday afternoon and you wouldn't be able to return it until Monday, you will likely be charged for three days rental.
That said, the generator may be the least of your concerns. I don't think you will have much luck picking-up local channels with a standard antenna.

From the sound of it, I might as well buy a generator based on the price for a weekend rental + signal booster. I may get an inverter and bring my deep cycle off of the john boat... However, I think the option to buy an extra case and make some friends is sounding more and more attractive. Haha, any of you guys in lot 10?

I'll bet you could simply watch it on your neighbor's tv as almost everyone tailgating has a TV except you and me.

A little worried as it runs a bit loud. Hope others around me don't mind... although our lot is always pretty dead with arrogant fans in it. Ugh. I want to go back to Lot 4. lol
