kudos to Dabo for challenging writers on this,
and more folks should step up and challenge them as well.
Petrino, stop whining. Harbaugh, stop whining.
Start challenging the ability of media to rewrite perspective.

sounds like it was a compliment to the the O line & rushing

yards since the Pitt Game, that was going to be written.
Don't know why Dabo had to get so irritated with the question. It's true.
Nobody is disputing taking what the defense gave us that night vs Pitt, but there were more battles lost, than won that night on the ground. Pitt held us to our lowest rushing output of the season on the ground and only 2 others teams (UNC & Duke) rushed for less yards vs Pitt than we did. 9 other teams ran for more yards on Pitt than we did including notable powerhouses Villanova, UVA & Syracuse.
The story is the O'line IS playing better since the Pitt game. Doesn't appear anyone is saying they were playing bad or mediocre, but they are,.....without a doubt, playing better.
We've had our two highest rushing games (254 vs Wake & 250 vs SC).....yes, even more than vs SC State (227) and BC (230).
Wake is built to stop the run, yet we ran for more than 2x the yards than FSU (123) did against them. Against SC, even Muschamp said they had a extra hat in the box the whole night to stop the run (same as Pitt), and we rushed for more yards than anyone did on them.
The facts are, the O Line IS playing better than they have all season and it appears the story that was trying to be written was positive and supportive of that.
Rushing yards vs Pitt, 2016: Villanova - 53 Penn St - 74 UNC - 18 Ok State - 101 Marshall - 104 Ga Tech - 241 UVA - 86 Va Tech - 150 Miami - 178 Clemson - 50 Duke - 25 Syracuse - 228

Wrong, Dabo even said we took what the D gave us. Pitt

stacked the box so we passed, a lot. Wake and SCU put 6 and 7 in the box so we ran. Teams have focused on shutting down the run a lot against us this year, Wake and SCU did not.

Looks like you need to go back and rewatch that Wake game. They definitely stacked the box most of the game with 8 & on occasion even 9&10. It was determined before the game that the Clemson offense was going to pound the running game no matter what.

didn't say Pitt didn't. Still, the blocking on designed run plays was avg at best. It was a poor effort by the O'line, no matter how you look at it.
You need to go back and watch the games vs Wake and SC.

Your argument is absurd and your thinking is exactly what makes Dabo so mad. You only use yards gained to measure the performance of the offensive line and ignore how many times they ran running plays. So what if another team had more rushing yards. Perhaps they ran the ball twice as many times and I'm quite sure none of them threw for 580 yards. You can't just ignore that fact. Also, in the Pitt game, they often had more than just an extra hat in the box, on many plays they had 9 men in the box, which was why we threw the ball so any times. Another thing is that when you run the ball a lot, the running backs tend to get into a rhythm and run better. We ran so few times in the Pitt game that none of our backs had a chance to get any rhythm going. It isn't all on the line. The running backs have a lot to do with it, too. Gallman certainly appears to be running a lot better recently. Finally, why are you assuming the person who asked the question was planning to write a positive article? You have absolutely nothing to base that on from the video. Do you know the person who asked the question? Perhaps they told you they were planning to write a positive article.

The question was posed as the Offensive line has blocked better since Pitt. Dabo was upset as soon s he heard the word Pitt.
I used yards, relative to how we've performed all year, and how others have ran vs Pitt all year. The facts are hardly an anomaly.
I'm not disputing how many yards were thrown vs Pitt. I'm simply pointing out that anyone with eyeballs can see the O'line is blocking better since Pitt. The yards per carry (and yards rushed) vs how the Wake and SC played us suggest we either got better and cleaned some things up (or, we're playing lesser talent).
Finally, why are you assuming the question wasn't going to be positive? Answer that. Do you know Dabo or the person writing the article? We just blew out our rival....there is no need to slam us in an article about poor blocking from 2 weeks ago. The angle was we've improved since then (witch we have and is indisputable).

ESPN policy WRT Clemson: Make the most of the worst and least of the Best. Sad. Those who can, Coach. Those who can't, report.
