How does ESPN Bracketology Prize give away work?

I have read that the Top 1 % gets put in a drawing for this year's Maui Invitational tournament (plane, hotel, ect...just have to pay the taxes.) I thought there was a secondary prizes (small Amazon gift card, I believe) for group winners. I am ranked #1 here on the Tnet group and 63.235 overall. My overall is well below the required %1 for the Maui drawing. Does anyone know what the situationis? What I need to do? What to expect? TIA.

Thought I read that there was some sort of smaller prize give away and assumed it was a small Amazon card. As there is a written part that Amazon is not s sponsor, which was mentioned at the end of the prize write up. I believe the groups have to be a certain size to qualify ( a decent size group of 50 or more, no small groups that could be easily won).

I actually called ESPN and asked them about this, cause I also played in that what you are talking about this year. There was an outright winner in the main 64 team bracketogy this season so I am assuming he or she won the trip because there was no tie.
The Second Chance brackology main prize was a $5000 gift card for Amazon.com
I finished 10,489 out of 3,000,000 brackets in the second chance bracket. This season.
And 650 out of 19 million, in last year's pool, n the 64 team pool.
There were 17.3 million bracket entries in the 64 team pool bracketology this year. And someone won outright

Crazy thing is each person could fill up to 25 brackets per person that's why there were 17.3 millioj brackets this year and 19,000,000 last year

Sounds like you just need to be in the top 1%, not the actually winner...
Random Drawing. The top 1% of entrants, based on overall points, will be entered into a random drawing. For purposes of determining the top 1%, no tiebreaker will be used. Instead, a "cutoff score" will be determined that includes at least the top 1% but may also include additional tied Entrants. The Grand Prize drawing will be held on or around Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Potential Prize Winner will be notified by phone and/or by email within a reasonable time after the Grand Prize drawing, not to exceed thirty (30) days.
