Of all of the coaches that they have in that mid-state sinkhole they have decided the best way to upgrade their athletic department is to fire a women's volleyball coach?? I don't think that will approve their Capital One Cup standings very much. Oddly enough, they are #5 in women's sports after the NCAA BB women's natty and #45 in men's. I would call that barking up the wrong tree. Maybe there is more to this story...

top 4/final 4 in every major sport this decade. That's crazy, but true. We like to poke fun at the coot football team but the reality is I'd love to go to the final 4, championship series in baseball, etc. Heck, maybe even win something in those sports. Coot fball is sucking but the AD is doing things I thought were impossible for schools other than Stanford, or maybe Florida

true. At least that's what I was told. After giving it a little thought, I believe it's accurate. Anyway, if we can climb the football maintain top, one would think we can do the same with other major sports. Brad seems to be trending in the right direction w MBB. Whatever her name is made some progress w WBB I believe. Monty seemingly made huge strides w BB until the end of season meltdown.

They've also missed a bowl game, the baseball team missed the tourney twice, the basketball team had one incredible run, and finally calling Women's basketball a "major" sport is laughable.

occasionally watch on tv? A sport that generates $? WBB is certainly not a major sport here at Clemson, but neither is baseball if it's about making $. WBB may be Uconn's only $ generating sport.
I agree that, at Clemson, WBB is certainly not major. It's barely above intramural level. But we can hope.
Or, we could cut it all together. Some would prefer that...

our Men's Soccer team play on the ACC Network.
College softball also gets much more TV time than Women's basketball, and Baseball for that matter.
If "major" sports are one that generate money then Women's Basketball is not a major sport at 99.9% of universities.

else is happening. I like watching it. But, WBB is on every day or two all winter long and of course into their tourney in April. I prefer Softball, but also wish our WBB team didn't suck so bad. Should have never gotten rid of Davis.
