That was the last time Clemson was really hyped up before the season started.
Man that loss to Bama hurt and what a lot of talent wasted that season.
The bright side to that year is we got Dabo.
I believe he will have our players ready for all the hype this year and next.

I believe that there are those in the "media" that are setting us up for a possible fall. I just hope our guys work hard, stay healthy and remain humble and the winning will take care of itself! go Tigers!,

I may have flawed memories about ESPN Thursday night games but I don't think they have been overly kind to us, we seem to struggle and we need to have all of the advantages against Louisville at PaPa Johns stadium. Please, correct me if I am wrong, I'd like some good news today.

No comparison with '08 whatsoever. That team couldn't begin to stay on the field with this one. And coaching staff-wise...light years difference! Entirely different DNA in the program now.

Not to mention we'd just graduated 3 LB's.
The preseason article states that we were LOADED with talent - which goes to show how idiodic the people who post preseason polls actually are.
That or they wanted to see an ACC Clemson tiger team unravel as ESPN sat back and laugh while building up their SEC empire.
We were nowhere near a top ten team.
Our starting 3 WRs Jacoby, AK & Grisham combined for less yards and TD's than Williams and Scott alone this year had this year.
Rob Spence was our OC. Koenning the DC.
No OL. No LB's. Our most talented guys were 17-18 years old and the seniority PT method was still well in tact .
Yeah, Dabo's win over usuck was nothing short of a brilliant coaching job - as an INTERN vs "A LEGENDARY COACH?" LUUUULLLZZIES
