Like the idea and direction of the "flat" colors and design, but I don't feel like it all fits together cohesively or in a really logical fashion. For example, there's a clunky hover effect that happens when you hover over "Watch Video". Not only that, but the videos are featured again in a row at he bottom. Why can't the video row just appear directly under the featured section if that' the content you're going to be updating frequently?

I don't think enough time was put into planning the UI, especially for a high volume website like that. But these types of websites aren't really what I do, so it's hard to figure out what their goal really is.

And nitpicky, but someone please fix those ridiculous URLs. It's okay for a message board to have a bunch of query strings in the URL, but this is a big time website and there's no efficient way to link to interior pages...i.e. clemsontigers.com/football/ instead of http://www.clemsontigers.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=28500&SPID=103701&SPSID=657769&DB_OEM_ID=28500

I know it's a DB driven Content management system of some sort but there HAS to be some sort of URL rewrite, no? IT/web folks?

Looks like a $2 template site, like a middle school student created it. Actually that is probably an insult to middle school students.

Following a trend of many other websites

in that the new webpage is easier to view on tablets and mobile devices. That's why it's less flashy, more vertical, etc. than the old site. I can't say that I like the trend but it's been happening for a while now.

I suppose, but there are better ways to design got that

And with the new logo and such I kinda have to agree with some others that it does look a little childish.

Maybe just used to more orange and less white.

Speaking of mobile have tried to access the pages on a phone? Half of them don't load right.

Maybe just rolled out premature and will evolve over time.

Initial impression is that the aesthetics are lacking.***
