so Lunge, what IS the correct tip on $1800 worth of pizzas?
Apr 8, 2019, 8:56 AM

any idiot (w/the exception of USC football staff) knows $5 isn't enough, but 15% ($268) seems a bit much for a pizza delivery.
What a bunch of stooges that place has.

program, that lives and dies by public image, you tip $500 and hope that it gets shared on the internet like this one did. I guarantee Dabo would do something like that... not because he's a good guy, but because he's very conscious of managing their image.
***btw, I think he IS a good guy, but also is a marketing/image genius

It's an easy way for good publicity without even thinking about it. They can't even get that much right... lol...

Could have at least rounded up the total bill to $2000

$20 to each driver minimum? Maybe throw in season tix in the zone, a cockaboose for a year, and selfies with the team?

I agree that was great. I even didn’t think it was true.

Since the receipt didn’t actually show details to confirm. Also could not believe that anyone would tip $5 on 2k. I mean a $100 tip and no one says a word, but as stated above, a $500 tip and this would have been a positive media story for the program and all their SEC money.... they are such Dumb arrrseeesss

To determine the correct amount, I need to know just how

long the two drivers had to be at this place. If it jacked up their whole shift, then more than $100 per would be correct. If they were there for 45 minutes to an hour, maybe toss them $40 or $50 a piece and call it a day.
Source, I was a pizza guy for a long time.

They prob started their shift early to make the order

Huge orders like that have to be placed at least 1-2 days in advance. The drivers should have been tipped minimum 25-30 each tho

The tip is essentially a cover for wear/tear on the drivers vehicle. When I worked at a pizza joint in high school that's the way it was--Kitchen staff never gets the tip.

Circa 2011-2016 we had in house tips too.

Whatever was tipped on carry out orders went into a pool for the insiders. You got a portion of that based off the house/days you worked.

This is also correct.

[ in reply to the dude(s) that made/cooked 200 pizzas deserved the tip ] |

How this should have gone down is it be paid for in house before hand and the tip split among those that worked it. This is how it went the place I worked for catered stuff for C of C. Of course, the owner was also on hand the whole time.
