We go on a 7-2 run and finish regular season at 18 -12 - we win 2 games in ACC tournament and then lose 3rd game - final record 20-13 - this scenario is a stretch but at least we have a chance.

suggesting this scenario is a stretch is not only a gross understatement, it parallels the grandiose delusions and over-exaggerated optimism of uof6c football fans each spring and fall before the actual season starts.

It is more likely at this point in the season that we will win only 2 than that we will lose only 2.

I would set the number at 4.5 if I were taking bets.

We have 2 that you can count as losses right now.

Technically the other 7 could be winnable on paper, but we have not shown the consistency to win every competitive game.

I think a realistic best-case scenario is 5-4.

That would mean we win 5 out of 7 games where we have a chance on paper.

That is pretty good for this team.

Unfortunately 5 of our last 9 are on the road

and 2 of our 4 home games are against top 10 opponents. I think this season we are 1-5 in true road games, although that 1 road win was historic!

each game is an independent thing but after Saturday I dont feel great about us winning many more. If you stink it up that badly to lowly Wake it does not bode well. And we struggled with them at LJ too.
