Has anyone seen this article? I just read it. Claims he was offered 300k to attend a certain school. Article goes on to insinuate that it was Clemson. Dont flame just asking??

It's been stated on here multiple times that he ended his recruitment with Auburn when they offered him $300,000.
I do believe that is why he looked so unhappy signing with Michigan because somebody finally got through to someone close to him with a bribe and forced those in his inner circle to make him choose Michigan.
I have never seen such a highly rated player look so unhappy after announcing their commitment and singing their LOI.

Will Folks could have done 3 minutes of research and picked up the same information. That wouldn't have fit his narrative though.

I don't have doubt that pretty much all the major P5 schools have boosters going around with $20 handshakes, and other small gifts from time to time.
I find it hard to believe in this day and age though that you're seeing very many 6 figure offers. Let's say for instance that some school did offer Gary $300k to play for them. Let's also say that Michigan didn't break any rules in his recruitment, and that Michigan made zero financial offers for his services, and that he picked Michigan over the money because he wanted so badly to play for them. You can use this example for any recruit if you like.
What's stopping that recruit, their family, or any of the coaches from the school he picks from going public with the information that some other school had made such a huge offer to him, especially in this day and age with social media? I find it hard to believe that everyone that recruit knows would keep their mouth shut if they honestly didn't take any money, and if the school they went to instead had done nothing wrong. I also find it hard to believe that the coaching staff of the team he goes to would keep quiet if they were doing everything within the rules, and knew that they were potentially losing out on recruits to other schools cheating their butts off.
So either none or very little of that stuff is going on to that level, or everyone is doing it.
