remind me: did Disney set up a fund for these victims?

Jun 16, 2016, 2:58 PM

just a thought...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

remind me: Is Disney based in Charleston?***

Jun 16, 2016, 3:14 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

wow... Disney is a global company that just happens

Jun 16, 2016, 4:11 PM

to have an Orlando location, in addition to those in Japan, Hong Kong, and Paris.

And it certainly didn't start in Florida - that would be in California.

So let me see, did Disney start victims/survivors' funds for

the 30+ students gunned down at Va Tech,

or the dozens hurt and killed in the Colorado theater,

or the 13 fatalities and 30+ wounded at Fort Hood,

or even the coordinated terror attacks in November 2015 in Paris?

No???

Well it sure seems then that Disney is nothing more than a public company

whose profitability has been hijacked for political purposes....

As for me, I WILL remember the victims in Charleston,

regardless their race, creed, religion, lack thereof, or politics....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Come on. It's obvious that they did it bc it's Orlando.

Jun 16, 2016, 4:43 PM

I don't like Disney's politics either, but what you're saying makes no sense.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

tell me: how many of Disney's shareholders live in Orlando?

Jun 17, 2016, 1:45 AM

vs. how many live in Virginia, or Texas, or Colorado, or California?

and at what point did all of these shareholders agree to let Disney management invest significant dollars

into one political group in one location?

that's decidedly NOT what public company investment is supposed to be about -

it's supposed to be about return on investment to individual shareholders

who are then indeed free to contribute in any way they individually prefer.

I feel sorry for you people -

you simply believe what you hear and read

because you can't think for yourselves.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Disney is synonymous with Orlando***

Disney is awesome!

Jun 16, 2016, 6:27 PM

I probably went to Disneyland 20-30 times as a kid and have taken my kids 5 or 6 times and am about ready to start with some grandkids. It's just as awesome every time I go. Great company that does great things.

Jun 17, 2016, 1:50 AM

BS... what an effin' idiot you are...

poster child for "the dumbing down of America".

tell me: do you copy opinions from other people and pass them off as yours,

or did you buy all yours on discount at Wal Mart?

Still stunned at the senseless murder in Charleston. What happens to create a personality like Roof?

Senseless, shameful cowardice.

God Rest their Souls.

I was confused. I always thought "The Charleston Nine" were the firefighters.

You are correct. The shooting victims are referrred to as

Jun 16, 2016, 5:46 PM

The Emanuel 9.

That SOB still makes my blood boil.

Jun 16, 2016, 7:27 PM

I hope he gets shacked in prison.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

9 has not been a good number to us here in Charleston.

Jun 16, 2016, 8:41 PM

Nine brave firefighters tragically killed. I still remember the smoke billowing up from 2 miles away and a softball-size piece of ash landing on my car as it burned. I wondered what it was, and never imagined it being something so devastating.

The Emanuel 9 was different, obviously. Nine, not only good people, but productive people, good citizens, people working for others, murdered by a racist hick child, bent on actually setting off a race war. Innocents and people doing things that were bigger than themselves, taken out by a useless piece of worse than garbage.

Two awful tragedies, but Charleston has weathered them, but still struggles with the memories. It's sad here this week. A service tomorrow at C of C's arena for the Emanuel 9 at 10 am is free, if you sign up online. Gonna try to make it.

Re: I knew Mrs. Cynthia Hurd for over 20 years.

She was a librarian at C of C and Charleston county Library. She was such a sweet lady who always had a smile on her face. Her loss made me sick to my stomach.
