when I take my place with my fellow vets in the West end zone, I'll be remembering my Clemson roommate, Steve Hilton, 1st Lt. USMC, who gave his life for his country on 8/25/68, just months after graduation, in Quang Tri Province. Steve's memory is honored on Panel 46,Line 15 of the Wall. Next time you're on an airplane, and the crew calls for a round of applause for the military, by all means put your hands together, but also take a minute to think of those who came back to a less enthusiastic welcome.
