my toilet is broken

The lever inside the tank broke and the water kept flowing in without stopping. I tried to shut the water off by closing the valve behind the toilet but the shut of valve is malfunctioning and not stopping the water. So i had shut off the main valve to the house. No water for us until tomorrow when i can get to the hardware store

I was getting upset about our misfortune until the wife put it in perspective... she said " its no big deal, could be worse. We could be gamecock fans..." i love my wife!!!

valve. Same thing happened to me a few years ago and I found a quarter turn ball valve at Home Depot that screwed onto the valve outlet. Quick and easy.
