do not qualify for asylum. There are very specific criteria for qualifying asylum and being a poor Latino is not one of them.
I was in Fourth Circuit in Richmond for an appellate argument a few months ago and the appeal before ours was a Honduran woman was seeking asylum and was denied even though she had been threatened with rape by a local gang. She lost her appeal even though all of the judges were liberal. I read the opinion and the judges basically said that they sympathized with her plight but their hands were tied.
What we are seeing is a result of failed policies of the past where all an immigrant had to do is claim asylum and they were released to disappear into vastness of America to never be heard from again. They were abusing the asylum process to game the system.

The parents put the children in this position, NOT the government.
illegal immigration/ asylum seeking is a gamble. A gamble has both a positive OR negative outcome.
The problem here is that they dont like the negative outcome and are praying on the "feelings" of liberals.

some are, and for them, can't imagine.....
but most are economically burdened, seeking better life. Worth a shot, maybe, esp if done in legal means, but would you willfully separate yourself from your kids?

It's no accident that this manufactured outrage happens to coincide with the DACA amnesty bill that Paul RINO is about to send to the President. Trump already said he wouldn't sign it. Liberals will push anyway because amnesty for illegals = votes.
