Re: NC got the bug - Raleigh - person visited Wash. State

Mar 3, 2020, 4:22 PM

Why. There were probably hundreds of people diagnosed with the flu today in upstate S.C.

Never realized panic was truly a strategy...

Mar 3, 2020, 5:14 PM

And a rate cut is a...what...vaccine? 100K folks testing positive for the virus worldwide triggers this...but 30 million citizens of this country will catch the flu...and 20K, plus, will die...and we yawn? This has to be the darnedest story I've witnessed in my lifetime.

missed on the sarcasm - however if a single case shows up

Mar 3, 2020, 5:30 PM

in Greensboro - the ACC tourney should be moved to Greenville. or Atlanta - guess that will be a good neutral site this year.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

atlanta is a much more international city

Mar 3, 2020, 6:00 PM

Than Greenville or anywhere in NC. Might not be the safest option if the virus is a concern.

I missed again - the whole post was supposed to be

Mar 3, 2020, 6:04 PM

about Swoffords insistence that the ACC BB tourney be in NC forever and ever. Kinda tired of it being a home tourney for the NC schools.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah. It would make a lot of sense to have it in Greenville

Mar 3, 2020, 6:06 PM

Or Charleston ( one of my favorite places to visit)

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You are aware Atlanta has two cases??

If 30 million catch corona we're looking at a million dead

Mar 4, 2020, 9:33 AM [ in reply to Never realized panic was truly a strategy... ]

and millions more who will need hospitalization.

Storms killed 19 in Nashville last night

Mar 3, 2020, 5:32 PM

A virus slightly worse than a Cold and no where near what the Flu is is only a media chitstorm.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Crazy..between 2018-2019 the World lost 400,000 people to Flu bug & no real alarm

Mar 3, 2020, 5:52 PM

and now a few thousand die with this bug and all hale breaks lose.

So far 20 times more deadly than the flu. The flu has a mortality rate of 0.1%
Coronavirus has a mortality rate at 2%. Then again, it's all so new those stats can change.

Re: Storms killed 19 in Nashville last night

Mar 3, 2020, 6:23 PM

Actually the World Health Organization is now saying the mortality rate is 3.4%. So what is that...34 times more deadly than the flu? I am sure the stats will constantly be changing though.

Mar 4, 2020, 9:39 AM

The numbers would be much smaller. This a manufactured crisis ,numbers being bumped up (lied about for the ignorant) to push an agenda. Your BS won't change that LOL

It's playing Iran at the moment. 8% of their parliament has it now. Hopefully it keeps a weak schedule.
