I'll say not an opponent necessarily: 1. Development of the new O-Line? 2. What does the new secondary look like? 3. Do Ngata/Ladson make the jump? 4. Does the D-Line return to dominance and how fast? 5. What's the drop-off in the running game without ETN and a new O-Line?

I agree. Our coaches will have a lot of rebuilding to do over the next 7 1/2 months. And on both sides of the ball.

That's an intimidating place to play and their November weather is usually crappy.

Notre Dame in South Bend will be a tough out...

especially with Ian Book returning, but I think Clemson is the better team and will win.
Clemson is clearly the best opponent on the Notre Dame schedule, followed by Wisconsin. They also play an improving Louisville team, Stanford, and Southern Cal.
Clemson will only receive about 5,000 tickets for that game so demand will far exceed supply. If you can't get tickets through IPTAY, be prepared to pay a huge premium for them.
Clemson will curbstomp FSU (again).

Kind of early in the year for stupid questions. We don’t know yet which of our players are coming back for their senior years and which are going to enter the draft. The same goes for the Notre Dame team. We have no idea whom our opponent will be in the ACCCG or if we will even win our division.
I think a lot of you try to dream up a topic for a thread that sounds important but in reality is moronic at this point in time.
And then there are the DAs that try to answer these type of questions. Obviously they have no idea so why ask them?
TD button is to the right.

Two things @1972...
I agree the topic is irrelevant at this moment in time.
You could refrain from providing your criticisms. If you don’t like the conversation then you can ignore it. Most people understand this forum is open for anyone wanting to start a conversation. Therefore you’re obstinate (dare I say fascist) viewpoint on which topics are acceptable or worthy of your consideration is irrelevant.

Have to win them all again.....unless the ACC improves. We will hear "They did not play anyone" again.

We can't lose to ND

If you look at their schedule the only other game that jumps out is Wisconsin at Lambeau field. Unless USC improves a lot, Notre Dame could easily be 11-1 if they beat us and then even at 12-1 winning the ACC we would probably be behind them in the playoff pecking order if they beat us head to head. That can't happen.

Problem with ND is weather could be an issue

and if Clemson were to lose to ND and ND went 11-1 as well, then ND would likely get in over Clemson. So, that really is the only must-win game next season for Clemson. Well, the ACC Championship and ND. Have to win those two.

If we were to lose to ND and win the ACCG we would be 12 and 1.Then it would depend on if there were any undefeated teams. Apples and Oranges right now.

Yeah but 12-1 Clemson would likely be BEHIND 11-1 ND

if ND beat Clemson. I don't think we would be in good shape with a weak ACC AND ND ahead of us in the pecking order. There would likely have to be several 2-loss champs from the other P5 conferences for us to get in.

In South Bend in November, the average high-temperature is 49 and the average low-temperature is 33.
It rarely snows that early in the month.
Hopefully it's a day game.
