SO-how does it feel that "Our" weak little conference is NC

Jan 11, 2014, 2:46 PM

winner? I feel so much better knowing that Noles cut the tail off that big ole SEC monster..and did it in last few seconds to make it hurt more.

GoTiGS & ACC!

It's better than SEC U winning it but it sucks FSU has left the Tigers in their dust,

Jan 11, 2014, 3:02 PM

Oh dear ... our conference didn't win. FSU won. Why are you starting to sound a little bit like a bandwagon I know called the SEC? Jump off the wagon Bill! Please!

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"We" didn't win anything but SEC recruiters can't say you

Jan 11, 2014, 3:05 PM

can't win a NC in the ACC as they've probably done for awhile.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: SO-how does it feel that "Our" weak little conference is NC

Jan 11, 2014, 7:29 PM

You couldn't tell that FSU won and was in the ACC the way some of the ESPN analyst were talking.

Jimbo coached under Saban and built his team after the SEC model.

FSU is a SEC team playing in the ACC

Auburn was "Battle Tested" in the SEC all year while FSU hasn't played anyone all year. [this one was my favorite b/c they didn't talk about how Auburn played Washington State, West Carolina, Arkansas St, and Florida Atlantic.]

The SEC has 4 to 5 schools that are gonna contend for a title...i mean they can't get them all but they get to pick and choose. The ACC only has like 2 maybe... [my next favorite b/c they named FSU and Clemson...yet b/c they pushed their conference agenda they refused to say the team names. I mean whe know it's Bama, LSU, Auburn...I'll say UF and TENN are the other's based on the fact that those are the only 5 teams in the SEC to have won a title.]

All in all...FSU won the title and not the ACC but this agenda is ridiculous.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You're oh so right

Jan 12, 2014, 1:17 PM

eSECpn would still be running the highlights nonstop if Allbarn had wone

#### shame that the SEC rejects have reduced ppl to this

Jan 11, 2014, 7:42 PM

Even I'll admit it, a part of me was happy FSU won the championship just to stop all the SEC circle jerkin'. That's just sad. Living in FL I really can't stand FSU fans. They are a pretty arrogant fanbase and that stupid chant is insufferable. Seriously, once you've gone to any bar here and witnessed a drunken FSU fan belligerently repeating that idiotic chant like it's the most clever thing in the world, you'll never look at them the same. Don't even pretend they have any conference pride. They want nothing more than to see us flounder because they are scared of our recent success.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Been there, done that

Jan 11, 2014, 7:51 PM

Worked in Fl for 8 years and I know what you say to be true.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Been there, done that

Jan 12, 2014, 12:08 AM

Fsu fans and Gator fans remind me a lot of Coots.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

SEC still finished with 3 in the top 5

Jan 11, 2014, 7:48 PM

4 in the top 10 and 7 ranked teams.

ACC is still garbage and FSU struggled to beat the worst SEC champion in decades

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Your conference must really be down if the worst Champ

Jan 11, 2014, 8:01 PM

in decades could win it so easily... 59 points in the SEC CG

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well Mizzou did score 42 or something like that

Jan 11, 2014, 8:11 PM

And again, if 3 out of the top 5 is down for the SEC, when is the ACC (or any other conference for that matter) up?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That horrible Auburn team finished 2nd right? and a Big 12

Jan 11, 2014, 11:53 PM

team made the SEC CG? Man, no wonder SCU did so well in your league this year...Thank God SEC bias propped the conference up huh?

Jan 11, 2014, 8:51 PM [ in reply to SEC still finished with 3 in the top 5 ]

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We've played a grand total of 7 times since joining the SEC

Jan 11, 2014, 9:20 PM

in '92.

Not nearly as embarrassing as Clemson's 0-56 record in Chapel Hill. Thats a series my kid's grandkids won't live to see become a rivalry.

does 0-21 ring a bell?***

Jan 11, 2014, 9:36 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well our record over the 98 and 99 seasons was 1-21

Jan 11, 2014, 10:13 PM

and we had a 21 game losing streak.

I'm not sure how it relates to playing Auburn only 7 times since we didn't play them either year

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

not sure how..

Jan 11, 2014, 11:42 PM

you bringing up Chapel Hill has anything to do with you and Auburn....

when we've only played them 7 times in those 80 years.

Not like we've lost to them 56 times.... like you know.... Clemson has lost in Chapel Hill.

Cotton Bowl is in the Playoff rotation and years ago, it was one of the major bowls but replaced by the Fiesta.

Right

The SEC "formula" Is Soooo, yesterday ....

Jan 12, 2014, 1:08 PM [ in reply to SEC still finished with 3 in the top 5 ]

Recruit the biggest goons you can and overpower the opponent ... run a boring staight ahead offense ...

The NFL HAD this same mentality ... now they are finding that the SPREAD offenses are better ...

Actually, the best offense is where you combine the two, and WE are going to have that next season ... Kelly runs the spread, that other fellow the the pro-sets ... he is a good thrower ...

I'm ecstatic that Florida State won. They're the only non sec team that a win would be great for us.

I would have preferred

Jan 11, 2014, 10:58 PM

If another team had ended the streak like say Oregon or Stanford. Someone who does not really compete against Clemson for recruits. But I'm just glad the SEC lost the game. Having an ACC team win could help us some in recruiting. I mean Auburn hadn't won a NC in over 50 years and then Bama gets back to national prominence and they then win one and play in it this year. So it's possible to spin it in our favor. To be the best you have to beat the best, sorry coots, you all don't fall into that category. But GA, LSU, Auburn, FSU do; and we can use that to get great recruits.

Re: SO-how does it feel that "Our" weak little conference is NC

Jan 12, 2014, 12:05 AM

Why is everyone so happy FSU won the national Championship? It will kill us in recruiting. FSU will immediately start getting many more top recruits. An ACC team other than Clemson winning the national title sure as #### don't help us any.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: SO-how does it feel that "Our" weak little conference is NC

Jan 12, 2014, 12:09 AM

And if any ACC team is ever to be recruited by the SEC for membership, it will first be FLA ST.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Jan 12, 2014, 1:22 PM

have to keep their rivals out? No way UF would ever vote in FSU.
