We're a 21 win team...no way the NCAA selection committee passes us up for the big Dance.

NCSU played one heck of a game. I wouldn't be surprised to see them play the dookies in the final.

Kind of alarming that OP and the boys don't seem to

Mar 12, 2010, 9:24 AM

realize that NC State did not play as well as they give them credit for. Booker was a human turnover and we played we no urgnecy at all.

No NIT, but NCState did not play that great

Mar 12, 2010, 9:50 AM [ in reply to ^^^Idiot^^^ ]

Of course we are NCAA bound, but State did not play great.

Clemson's defense was poor and they settled for long 3s and we had no real urgency until it was too late.

Tiger Nation needs to stop finding excuses and needs to start calling out what does not work. Purnell is 3-7 over the last five years in the ACC tournament.

He said after the came, "We are disappointed in losing in the first round.... and I told the team we need to learn from that."

I like Purnell. I want him at Clemson. But the man needs to change up his routine and tournament strategy. His team follows him. He teaches these players.

What has he learned in going 3-7 over 5 years, with 2 of the wins in one year alone. So take away the run to Finals year and he is 1 win in 7 games.

Clemson is 16-57 all time in the ACC Tournament

Quit acting like our ACC Tournament woes start and end with Purnell

What the Hades are you barking about. We are talking about Purnell's record, not the history of Clemson basketball and the ACC.

Holding a team to 59 points = Good Defense

Mar 12, 2010, 10:44 AM [ in reply to No NIT, but NCState did not play that great ]

Not being able to make a free throw or an outside jump shot cost us this game. We are 19-2 when we shoot over 40%, 2-8 when we don't. Teams are going to collapse on Grant and Booker inside and dare us to beat them with our outside shooters. Our success depends entirely on us knocking down open jump shots. When we do, we win; when we don't, we lose.

a great game. We played another horrible game at the end of the year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep we're sucky in postseason play in just about all sports.***

Did anyone else notice Potter's lackluster boxout

Mar 12, 2010, 8:37 PM

With 2.3 seconds left and a missed free throw on a 1 and 1 Potter did not even try to boxout or jump for the rebound. I know the likelihood of us making a basket in that short a period of time is very small; however, it has been done before. I hate that he quit and after the game made the comments that he did. What a loser. I'm ready for him to be gone. I'll miss Booker, but Potter will not be missed by this Clemson grad. Fairwell to another underachieving Tiger basketball team.

lol...

Mar 12, 2010, 8:39 PM

if you think Potter lost that game last night...you are nuts. Booker played like he did not even care. LAZY
