Alabama fans are going to flip out tomorrow night

When CU football is ranked #1. Overall tougher schedule than Alabama, and from everything I've gathered over the years they will reward our schedule vs Alabama winning by 30 every game this season. The past 3 games we have proven that we are just as good if not better than Alabama on offense, and definitely better on defense. Only team in top 10 in offense and Defense. And I suspect the SEC teams won't be ranked as high by the committee than the AP.

Not likely, but possible.
Similar thing happened in 2015, but it was a little more obvious that year (in my opinion).

We have a common opponent that they handlers more easily in TA&M (although it was in Alabama)

We were still doing the dual an and are a much better team now than we were then also, but that is a metric that will be used. Bama will be #1 the whole year unless they lose.

Bama is ever so slightly better. For example, I think they are going to roll LSU Saturday, and LSU is better than anybody we've played this year.

We’ve narrowed the gap with the last 3 games however...still not enough to overcome them.
The narrative early on in the season was “Bama and everyone else”. Now it seems to be “Bama, Clemson, and then everyone else”

Sorry, but that's not happening. Bama is going to be #1; we'll be #2. They haven't been tested all season (granted, against no real competition yet), and they had a better showing against a common opponent (A&M). As long as we're somewhere in the top four, I don't care much about where we are at this point in the game, as long as we win out, make the playoffs, and get our business done there, that's what matters.

Personally, I like being number 2 behind Bama. I think it gives our team extra incentive to perform well. Gives us a clear goal, win out and hope to meet and beat Bama in the final game. Just play football! If we are as good as we all believe, it will happen.

Then they will tank a game to avoid having to play in a conference championship and still get in at #4 and we get stuck playing them 1st round. Sounds familiar.
