possibly someone can answer this?
Why would a successful real estate mogul waste his time selling steaks, water, and bogus classes if they were already a multi billionaire? Seems that his time and talents would be better suited negotiating building contracts and planning billion dollar development projects. I mean direct marketing steaks and bottled water is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Can some one explain this to me?

not yet. even if that where the case, why would a successful real estate mogul want his name associated with low rent enterprises like direct marketing steaks and and bottled water? It seems that would only cheapen his brand. You do not see Bill gates selling copper pans on infomercials do you? I mean he could invest in something like that if he wanted, but he certainly would not slap his name on it.

high margin, low risk....just adds to the cash flow. that would be my initial thoughts. Managing cash flow with low risk propositions is really not all that uncommon. From what I understand from reading about him (as I am too young to remember) he has definitely had cash flow issues in the past, especially once Atlantic City busted.

It's additional things to put his name on. It's not some great mystery that he's a hyper-narcissist.

He built a strong brand synonymous with quality

When you have high quality brand recognition you try to extend it by slapping it on everything. Not sure if you've been in a Trump hotel, they're very nice. The other thing that used to confuse me is why would anyone with billions of dollars continuously strive to make even more money? This begged the question, "How much is enough?" Then I realized that billionaires don't think that way. They just figured out how to generate wealth and became very good at it. That's just what they do and it's who they are.

Mature brands ride on perceived quality once their recognition reaches a certain level. Did you know who Donald Trump was before he ran for office?

It's simple. I have a very wealthy friend who, like Trump, is a narcissist who also suffers from Antisocial Personality Disorder.
More is not enough. No matter how much it is it can never be enough. He'll tell you, the hole inside of himself can never be filled.

About Trump. He’s a supporter but all those businesses are the same as the tweets. They keep his name at the top of the news cycle.
