Company Christman/Holiday parties?
Nov 19, 2020, 12:12 PM
|
|
Just curious as to what your companies are doing for parties this year.
Cancelled? Employees only? Outdoors? Business as usual?
The restaurant that hosts ours has cancelled, so just trying to see what others are doing. We don't want to do nothing if other people are doing stuff, but also don't want to have one if no one else is.

I assume this company pot luck was the actual source of COVID and not the yellow man, as the gov't would lead you to believe.

Sittin there, eating cold Publix fried chicken while Tina from accounting repeats for the 5th time how she stirs the onion straws into the cream of chicken soup for her famous green bean casserole, running out of conversation after 2 or 3 sentences with people in departments you believe to be massive wastes of money.......Christmas man, Christmas.

Tuesday night. We will mask and have several smaller tables rather than one big table (14 of us).
If our Commie Governor allows restaurants to stay open, we're still doing it.
COVID SUCKS!!!

Get them to cater it and have it at an outdoor venue, my man

The events we've gone to this year have done that, either food trucks or catering somewhere outside. Frankly, I think everyone enjoys that kind of thing more than being in a restaurant anyway.

is in startup mode. I don't think we have 20 employees here yet. CEO is coming to town, lunch with him 2 days prior + the party. I assume it HAS to be a +1 otherwise it isn't really a party, is it?

to not have a party and save some $$$
Nah - they said they might do something small for employees only, like close office early and have cocktails on a restaurant patio in the afternoon instead of nice sitdown dinner with everyone's spouses/SOs
