convincing. I could only imagine the reaction I'd get from the BOT if I went to them trying to push to leave the ACC and my argument was "Dude, we are in a basketball conference.. What else can I say?"

Hey dipweed,it has nothing to do with whether or not we all is happy in the ACC.And we could leave this conference tomorrow.Guess where that will get you?Looking in.
What it has,and needs to happen is another conference asking us to join,AND the last time I looked,we have NOT been asked to join another conference.
In fact the last time I checked the only conference that has even shown a remote interest is the BIG 12,and only if Clemson and FSU both agree to join.
So start whatever petition you want.Just make certain you have another conference that is interested or we will be looking to play an independent schedule similiar to Notre Dame.Only problem with that is we ain't got the clout,or the money that Notre Dame has!

I started to question your level of intelligence. I am not asking to just jump off without a plan in place. I've heard what you have heard about the BIG12 but if it is true, we should be actively seeking it now and Mr. Phillips should be actively pursing a deal along side FSU to the BIG12. Only then we can tell Mr. Swoffod to stick it and not before. We are like monkeys on trees. As they swing, you don't let go of your branch until you get another one...

I was there when they won it and I've graduated from Clemson ...
I probably was on this site longer than you but I don't post much.
I hate it that the SEC is getting the dollars and we are getting the nickles. Usuck is making headway because of the #### SEC and I believe Vandy one day has a chance to beat us in recruiting and on the field simply because of SEC.. I am not sure we are there yet as far as Vandy, but I don't want to find out, do you?
So lets all tell our beloved TP, it it is time to start seriously setting shop on another block. The ACC block ain't for us.Heck, maybe they can get Kansas to join or raid the Big East again and again for the bottom of the barrel.

The thing is we do not need a petition to leave,so why sign anything.If the Big 12 comes calling,then we can tell Swofford to stick it.
